Hi, My name is Bart Schots. I’ve lived in South Kerry all my life. I have been fishing since I was young. Since finishing school I was a carpenter for a few years and recently decided to follow my dream of becoming a fishing guide. I’m an all round angler who enjoys everything fishing related, whether its fishing in big floods on the river in the craziest conditions or climbing up to high mountain lakes searching for big brown trout. I originally started fishing off the rocks in the sea and hunting for big pollock and many other saltwater species, I have over the years become a more all round fisherman. After fishing the sea for years I fell in love with salmon fishing and have been hooked ever since! nowadays I’m more into fishing rivers, lakes and streams in search for big salmon, brown trout and seatrout. Every year I’m learning more and more and find that I enjoy sharing my passion with other likeminded people! This is why I’ve decided to become a fishing guide and this way I get to share my passion and experiences with people of all ages and from all over the world.
Join me on My Journey and come fishing on the Wild Atlantic Way on the South West Coast of County Kerry.
